Book It!

Book-It Repertory Theatre in Seattle has celebrated over 20
years of “novel theatre” through which works of fiction are brought to life on the
stage.  It began as an artists’
collective, adapting short stories and taking them on tour. Most recently, The Art of Racing In the Rain, Garth
Stein’s immensely popular novel, was produced to much acclaim. Since its inception, more
than 60 full-length novels including works by John Irving, Eudora Welty, David Guterson and Willa Cather have
graced Book-It’s stage.  Works that were
not originally intended for the stage get new life and perspective on the
stage.  Have you written a work that you
would like to see adapted for the stage?
